With our sponsored fund, the winning team of ASK IT Techathon 2021 started to work on the development of a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Booking App for Fullness Salon, a Social Enterprise. It’s the time to turn the idea to prototype.

At this stage, ASK IT has assigned an experienced Developer, Nick Chan as the students’ mentor to provide professional advises and timely support during the whole development process. It’s because we believe that giving money is not enough to help our young people, guidance and journey together will encourage them to work better with direction.

With Nick’s help, the team finished their product on time and had their final project presentation with product demonstration on 22 Apr 2022. The CRM application is quite completed which takes care of the needs of different stakeholders of a salon – customers, stylists and management (administrator) includes member registration, styling recommendation, shopping cart, hair stylist booking, customer management etc.

Cast back for half year ago, they are just students. Now we may call them Junior Developers having their 1st real product. Is it proud? Looking at those smiley faces, we know that ASK IT Techathon is doing something amazing in IT youth development and we should continually work on it.

2021年ASK IT技術競賽冠軍產品展示

利用我們贊助的基金,ASK IT 技術研討會 2021 的優勝隊伍開始為社會企業 Fullness Salon 開發客戶關係管理 (CRM) 和預約應用程式。現在是將想法轉化為原型的時候了。

在這個階段,ASK IT 指派了經驗豐富的開發人員 Nick Chan 擔任學生的導師,在整個開發過程中提供專業的建議和及時的支援。因為我們相信僅僅給予金錢並不足以幫助我們的年輕人,指導和一起走過的路會鼓勵他們更好地有方向地工作。

在 Nick 的協助下,團隊準時完成產品,並於 2022 年 4 月 22 日舉行了最後的專案簡報與產品展示。CRM 應用程式已相當完備,可照顧髮廊內不同利害關係人的需求 – 顧客、髮型師及管理階層 (管理員),包括會員註冊、造型推薦、購物車、髮型師預約、顧客管理等。

回想半年前,他們還只是學生。現在,我們可以稱他們為初級開發人員,有了自己的第一個真正的產品。是不是很驕傲?看著這些笑臉,我們知道 ASK IT 技術研討會 在 IT 青年發展方面做得非常好,我們應該繼續努力。
